Local Addresses

Posted by Kim on June 16th, 2007

Many of you have written and asked for our local mailing address while we are in Houston.

  • Presently, we are staying with Zac’s family (Tommy and Charlotte Lyle) at 12607 Bayou Mead Court, Humble, TX 77346
  • We will leave Houston on June 28 and travel to Arkansas. Our address there (with Zac’s parents) 903 Marrable Hill, El Dorado, AR 71730
  • We hope to visit Greenville, SC near the end of July, or 1st of August before departing for Slovakia (from Houston) on August 15.

Hope this helps!

Special Prayer for Emili

Posted by Kim on June 9th, 2007

We just got the news that Emili needs a root canal! We’re in shock trying to figure it all out, but a dentist here in Houston says that it can’t wait and that she needs it ASAP.

We need your help praying through this. Mainly-determining is it the right thing to do NOW? right at the time the new baby will come, trusting a dentist we don’t know and  have never been to, and financially facing a huge bill (at least $1000).

She is presently scheduled to have it done this coming Tuesday, but it all seems to fast to us. However, of course we want to do what is best for her. So please help us pray for this situation (and if you have any contacts for dentists in the Houston area, please let us know)!

Still Waiting

Posted by Zac on June 7th, 2007

We just knew that the baby would come as soon as Zac and the girls arrived. But it’s been almost a week now… and no baby yet. Our plan has always been to await the birth in Houston Texas because of insurance reasons. And so far, plans have been moving ahead as scheduled. We quickly overcame jet lag, we found a good doctor in our insurance plan, we got a good rental car for getting around town and we’ve had wonderful places to stay in Houston with Kim’s sister and Zac’s cousin.

It does seem a bit strange to be trying to have a baby in a place that is not familiar, a house that is not your own and in surroundings that are not familiar. But we are believing that through our months of prayer and planning that God has us right were he wants and his perfect will is being done.

The doctor says that the baby boy is healthy and is just over six pounds. Kim’s actual due date isn’t until June 27, so we are trying not to rush things too much.

Please pray as we move through these odd times. Pray for calmness of spirit for Kim as she “handles” the stress of a birth in a place that is not home. Pray for the details of the birth – hospital, insurance, doctors, health and timing.

We will keep you updated as events progress.

Together Again - in America

Posted by Zac on June 6th, 2007

Granted, it was a complicated plan from the start, we know! Kim and Samuel Green go first to America just before it’s too late for Kim to fly pregnant. Zac and the girls stay in Slovakia for one more month of work and school. Kim tries to survive the stresses of world travel alone with a 3 year old while in her final months of pregnancy. Zac tries to handle two kids in school and work on his own and then an international trip to America. It was complicated at best. (more…)
