Preparing to come to Home!

Posted by Kim on April 2nd, 2007

I wrote about all our needs in the post, Oh Boy! but I wanted to give a shortened version here about things to pray for:

  • housing for our family- in Houston for the time from May 31 until possibly second week of July (but hopefully only until the end of June-depending on when the baby comes); in El Dorado from end of June, early July until August 15.
  • transportation during whole stay, to accommodate our family of 6 and also booster seats for the older kids (3)
  • baby items to use: infant carrier/car seat, stroller, pack-n-play, bedding, infant bathtub, bouncy seat changing pad,
  • finances- always when we come back to America it’s like having to live in 2 places (at least paying to live in 2) since we still have all the bills we are responsible for in SK in addition to living 3 months in America. God has ALWAYS provided every time for us and we want to pray for this again.
  • health- for Kim and the new baby as they prepare and travel alone to the States (with Samuel Green). That God would continue to keep the baby safe and out of danger for pre-term labor.
  • visas- we are in the process of renewing our visa again, every time it is such a headache: getting all the right papers, translations, forms, etc. Please help us pray we can get everything together and submitted on time (before we leave in May)

Oh Boy!

dsc00056.jpgFor those who haven’t heard yet, we found out at our last check-up that this baby is a BOY! While it didn’t matter a hill of beans to me, Zac is ecstatic at the idea of another boy and “balancing” the “team”!

Currently, I’m at 28 weeks! I feel bigger than with any of the others, but I’m definitely healthier. I have been experiencing contractions (daily) since 18 weeks, but so far there is no opening, softening or shortening of the cervix! Yeah! I am so content with the doctor whom I am seeing here in Zilina. He is doing a great job following me. I am actually sad that he will not be able to deliver for me. (more…)

Emili’s 9th Birthday!

dsc00002.jpgIt’s hard to believe that our first born turned nine already! But on March 24, 2007 it happened! We celebrated first on the 23rd with all her Slovak girlfriends then again on the 24th with all her American girlfriends. There are photos from each celebration in the gallery. (more…)
